HA2 Task 8 – Pixel Production

These are the sprites that will go into my game
1) This is my character, I created him using the pencil tool as this made it easier and faster to create, I used the colours to match my vector work of my main character, I also needed to create a flame effect for the jetpack on his back and used the grey to show that he is a robot.
2) these are my characters agains but leaning to the left and right, I made this effect by enlarging one of the jetpacks to show that they are relying on that jetpack to lean in the direction that I want, I also made the leg thinner on the side that you are moving away from to make the leg on the side you are moving to look like it is being used. I also created the shadow by filling in the original character all black.

3) This is my tileset, I created it again using the pencil tool. I used another tile set as inspiration and used the colour black as the floor that the player will be running along is also black, I also used the grey to add the 3-D effect.

4) This is my turret, I created it again using the pencil tool and used the colours grey, dark grey and clack to give it that robotic effect.
5) These are my blood creation, I used the pencil tool to create them. I used inspiration again from the same person to create my blood and made it blue as that is how I envision  the robots fuel to look like.
6) These are my power ups, I created them using the pencil tool. I made them in the shape of a crate as it is set on Earth and that is what I think they would look like on a post apocalyptic earth. I used blue and red in my first power up to symbolise health and grey and black in my second to symbolise weapons.

7) I made my planet surface a road, I created this using shapes. I thought about how roads usually looked on earth and copied their look, including the pavement as well.

8) I made the pod using the pencil tool. I made it look robotic and imprinted eyes to look like a mother type robot as it will spit out flying robots. The red eyes are there because that is the enemies colour.
9) I made the bullets using the pencil tool again. I made the players bullets using a blue texture as that symolises good and used inspiration again. As for the enemies bullets I made it a red basic block that looks like a laser.

10) The missiles that the boss will use, I made them using pencil again. I gave the flame a blue effect as that is one of my main theme of colour and I used red as that is the evil characters colours.
11) I made these little robots as the enemies that will be spit out by the pod. I made the eyes red as that is the enemies colours and I made the helicopter have a rotar effect.

12) I made this mist to over the surface. I turned the opacity down so that it would be transparent and made it as dust to suit the post apocalyptic world.

13) These are my coins and collectibles. They each give a different currency and can give the player high amounts of money or low amounts.

14) I made the fire with inspiration again, I gave it a red flame and used orange and yellow to give it that shading effect.

14) This is one of my enemies, it is a robotuic ant and has an attack that charges at the player once they have lined themselves up with him. I made him grey to show the robot effect, gave him red eyes as it is the villains colour and used the flame effect.

15) This is my boss, I made it a big giant robot. I copied my vector work and pasted it into photoshop to give it the pix-elated effect. Due to time constraint this is why I could not make it a proper boss.
16) This is the bosses weapons. A rocket launcher that opens and closes, I used a shading effect on it and used blue and red as they are the main colours. I used inspiration again to create it.

17) This is my original enemy robot, He does the simple task of shooting the main character. I gave him a simple shape and used a flame underneath him to give the effect of flying. The colours are used again to match that he is a robot and evil.

18) This is the title screen, My logo I copied and pasted into the document, I used the shape tool to make the buildings, the background sky and the windows on the building. I used these colours to give a shading effect and to show that it is post apocalyptic, I also made the robots legs using the pencil tool and used shading again to add that effect.
